Zane Elias

Zane Elias is visiting fellow with the Living Observatory. Zane is currently a senior at the University of Waterloo and is majoring in the school of Environment Resource and Sustainability with a dual minor in Knowledge Integration and the Cognitive Sciences. He is an avid environmentalist whose major concerns are centered around water problems, and the relationship between technology and society. Zane has worked on a host of projects which directly address contemporary water problems among communities within Toronto, Fiji, Vanuatu and Istanbul. Further, whether it be on the field, or putting pen to paper Zane aims to articulate what the future of civic design looks like as the impacts of ubiquitous computing, and environmental degradation become more felt by the global community.
