Soundscapes to Monitor Habitat Development on Restored Cranberry Farmland

Fall is starting. The days are becoming shorter, mornings crisp, and soundscapes quieter. The Fall semester is the best time to plan for the Spring acoustic sampling season.

During the last weekend of September, I shadowed Elizabeth Bone and her students during their work at Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary. This visit allowed the identification of places to set up acoustic recorders to monitor the soundscapes of the restored bog habitat.
