Alex Hackman

Lover of wetlands, frogs, turtles, and all people working for Mother Earth, I manage Mass Audubon's Ecological Restoration Program. I joined Mass Audubon in 2022 after serving in the Massachusetts Division of Ecological Restoration (DER) for 15 years. While at DER, I had the honor of managing the Tidmarsh Project (2010-), helping to launch Living Observatory, assisting on many other cranberry bog wetland restoration projects, and starting the state's cranberry bog restoration program. I'm grateful to others that are part of Living Observatory that share a collective learning agenda, help find answers, and improve this emerging restoration practice over time. Go Nature!
