Slow down, reflect, and adapt during construction

Alex records wisdom from Karen Beattie at NCF, who shared how the Windswept project broke construction into multiple phases over several years. Doing so gave the team a chance to see what worked best (or not) in year 1 and adapt the work in year 2. It cost a bit more, with more mobilization costs, but seemed to the project team to be well worth it.

Maybe a lesson here is that “Phased work can be more expensive, but it enables adaptive design”
